I’m not usually the type of person who reads the local newspaper, but last week while waiting at an oil change place, I flipped through the paper and found something really remarkable.

It seems there is a live show, based on a BBC documentary, traveling North America this year. Called “Walking with Dinosaurs”, the show takes life size animatronic dinosaurs and choreographs them into a 96 minute long theatrical presentation. There is a video clip on the website (www.dinosaurlive.com), and frankly, it looks incredible. The largest dinosaur in the show is 36 feet tall, and 56 feet from nose to tail – truly incredible.

I think Nick is too small to see a show like this, but if he was a little bit older, he would definitely be going. According to the FAQ at the site, kids over three really enjoy the show, though it can be a bit loud at times.

If you have seen this show somewhere else, or if you decide to see it in the coming months, please drop me a line and let me know if it was a good as it looks.
